With Erikson, at least at first, I was compelled to continue reading because I liked the characters and I really wanted to know what the heck was going on. Then, when the ending blew me away, I was definitely going forward with the series.Bryce L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13951278240008332023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6002257986880313171.post-55286252428763476282010-04-02T03:54:56.901-06:002010-04-02T03:54:56.901-06:00That's an interesting comment that you made, a...That's an interesting comment that you made, about the endings making the book worthwhile. I've been thinking a lot lately about what aspects of a book make it a really good book, for me, and how this might be different for other people. So it sounds like for you a good ending makes a difficult book worthwhile, which is interesting. (I actually think I might post together a post about this)Simchahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14730042073954228379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6002257986880313171.post-45652640237107050612010-03-31T22:30:06.958-06:002010-03-31T22:30:06.958-06:00@Simcha - Soooo good. Read it, read it, read it (that's my form of peer pressure). :)

@Melissa - Haha, that's awesome. I thought I was the only one too. I don't know why, but it makes me feel better. I used to do other OCD things, but now that's it.Bryce L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13951278240008332023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6002257986880313171.post-34900778064262427822010-03-31T19:44:16.702-06:002010-03-31T19:44:16.702-06:00I never admitted it, but I thought I was the only ...I never admitted it, but I thought I was the only one to look for middle marks. I always look at the last page and figure the middle mark for myself. I always thought there was something wrong with me for doing that. I knew what I was working up to, then the rest is all down hill. Hope you enjoy Erikson. I have to get to the first one, which is here starring at me from the shelf.Melissa (My World...in words and pages)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09621830513280969319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6002257986880313171.post-4516186724915861872010-03-31T14:55:34.568-06:002010-03-31T14:55:34.568-06:00Well, I hope you are enjoying it. I have to admit that I've been having some trouble making it through Gardens of the Moon but I've been determined to get to the end, because everyone else seems to enjoy it so much. It's that peer pressure thing again...gets me every time.Simchahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14730042073954228379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6002257986880313171.post-39880678351892388832010-03-31T08:44:55.796-06:002010-03-31T08:44:55.796-06:00Yup, it's the mmpb of Reaper's Gale.
